Pieretti, an amputee stuntman and the host of the Discovery Channel's Bionic Builders, will lead a rock-climbing clinic at Earth Treks Climbing Center in Rockville, MD for wounded war veterans recovering from traumatic limb loss. At the clinic, Pieretti will introduce Amp’d Gear’s new revolutionary rock-climbing leg. The prosthetic limb will be custom fitted to accommodate amputees who will test the device on the gym’s walls. The event will be attended by many Washington-area veterans and noted Five Ten athletes Matt Bosley, Charlotte Jouette and Brad Dorough.

Five Ten and Stealth rubber have worked with Pieretti and his engineering team to develop prosthetic limbs with better friction and performance. Explains Laura Sanders, Five Ten’s global sales director, “Five Ten has worked with Casey for more than a year. He first came to us because he wanted to use Stealth rubber on his prosthetic limb. We have a rubber for every application---from water to rock to glass. Next year we are focusing on the Enforcer line, with shoes for military applications—and our work with Casey and the Wounded Warrior Program has been significant in driving our R&D.”

Check out Bionic Builders on the Discovery Channel, following Mythbusters at 12 noon EST (check local listings).
