Well, It's over now. The culmination of hard work by the community was well noticed on Sunday when a TON of climbers showed up at Lincoln Lake to climb on the last day of the season- that is of course because the park service closes the road for the winter months.
Everyone was having a great time, some getting their last tries in on their projects, others just enjoying the day. It was great to see all the familiar faces and I can't wait for the next season.
Ironically, two HUGE influences to Lincoln lake were absent. Daniel Woods and David Graham were out of town but over this summer it's been inspiring watching these two guys go at it, cleaning, solving and climbing most of the upper level boulders. Their effort is as unprecedented as it is impressive. However, they were still only a part of the development force, this time, the whole community was involved and Wolverine Land/Lincoln Lake/Mount Evans will now, forever be an amazing climbing area. Here are some shots from Sunday and a couple from the summer.
