Fall, coming soon to boulders near you!lk
I wore a jacket this morning. Granted it was 6:30 am when I left the house, but as temps haven't dropped below 90 in Chattanooga yet, it felt wonderful. And the annual Hound Ears comp is coming up this weekend - it will be the first time most of the southern boys have climbed outside in a couple months and it marks the beginning of the season.
There are old projects to finish, new ones to find, and training to be done. That's one of the best things about living in Chatt - you could potentially do all three in a single day. I feel particularly motivated by the influx of other strong climbers. It will be great to see what goes down - the South may see some of it's most difficult boulders established this year and I invite everyone to come test out some the best rock in the country.
I would also like to mention a few other developments. First, the new Little Rock City/Stone Fort guide should be available soon. Andy Wellman of Greener Grasses Publishing was nice enough to send me a copy and it is stellar. Second, there are some interesting developments in the works concerning camping in the Chattanooga area so keep your eyes and ears open. Guess that's it.
