After a good season of great Alpine climbing, it is time for me to start heading south back home to Colorado. On my way down, I wanted to stop in some awesome climbing and Drop Zones.
I start with Kapowsin, WA, the place where I learned how to jump--it has an awesome DZ. Once you jump out of the plane you can see Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula, the North Cascades and the Pacific Ocean.
After leaving WA and on my way to Yosemite I stop in Lodi to do some more jumping. To my surprise the first people that I saw once I got to the DZ were Dean Potter and Ammon Mceely.
We had the chance to do some jumps together and I had the chance to learn tons from them. The second day, Ammon and I spent all day flying together and doing all sorts of cool things. In our first jump of the second day, we had a pretty fast crash that result on me smashing his camera :( We had to go and get other camera and keep the fun going.
Lodi is a super cool place to jump--I'd highly recommended checking out the DZ.
Now I'm in Salt Lake City and will hopefully jump in Ogden. After Ogden I will head to Moab to finish my Sky Diving/ Climbing road trip before I get to my final destination, Ouray, Colorado.
