Climbing trip to the Red River Gorge -

A few weeks ago my friend Joe Mohan and I went to the Red and did a few really fun routes. We did a fun climb called roadside attaction, we watched the sun set from the top, the rapped down into the darkness. The next day we went to the crag Mariba Fork, it has a pretty cool approach, a lot of just walking on no apparant trail into the woods. We got to a river right before the cliff, the water was very nice, maybe someplace the Allman Brothers would hang out. I got a piece of shale to take home and put on my desk. We hiked the hill up to the cliff and climbed a crack called laceration. The next day we went to Fortress wall and climbed the two pitch climb, bedtime for bonzo. The crack on the second pitch was really fun, and the top out was beautiful. I met some cool folks at Miguels, ate some good food, and tried to deal with the heat, it was harsh. The whole time I had on my trusty Anasazi Moccasyms, they jam real well. The drive home was boring, driving I-75 through Ohio is no fun. However, it wasn't that bad, Joe and I discussed the use of tick marks and Yvon Chouinard. We stopped at the Pilot station in Findlay, I got a very large Pepsi. For the most part, a pretty good trip, hope to go down again soon.

The Anasazi Moccasyns were stolen from my climbing bag. Son, please return them when you are done!
