"There’s something magical about Yosemite’s beauty. It doesn’t make you forget your troubles entirely, but it sure takes your mind off them for a while. Inspired by recent events, I had a deep desire to do everything when I arrived. No way was I going to keep my feet close to the ground this time. I needed to go up, as high as I could, to be nearer to the stars. The first thing we did was summit Cathedral Peak in Tuolumne. It’s about eleven thousand feet high, and six pitches of climbing."
