Paul Robinson Checks in from Switzerland

Paul Robinson Checks in from Switzerland

September 15, 2010 -  Paul Robinson

Being back in Switzerland is a dream come true for me.  It has been 2 years since my first trip here. I unfortunately left this amazing country with a cast on my left foot. My first trip was bitter-sweet as I was only able to climb for a couple of weeks before injuring myself severely  enough that I had to fly back to the States two months before my scheduled departure.

Fortunately, I am now back and ready for tons of climbing.  This past week I was fortunate enough to climb in a new area that I had never been to before. Fionnay is an area that I have wanted to climb in for quite some time. It is located in La Valais Canton of Switzerland way up in the mountains.

My first few days in Fionnay were dry and prime weather. I managed to climb a bunch of climbs that I had on my list and was psyched to also see some others that i had never heard of before.

I am now on my way to Ticino for the remainder of the Fall and into the beginning of Winter. The weather will soon be good and I can't wait to start climbing in areas like Cresciano and Chironico!  Stay tuned for more updates on the Five Ten Blog!!
