Another great weekend with a visit to Italy for the iXS Downhill Cup in Pila. We last visited Pila in 2005 to watch Vanessa Quin take part in the World Cup there. The WC track has not changed much but it was still a fast and demanding course. After dominating her rivals in qualifying, Tahnée went on to take the Junior win in the finals.
"When we got there, I recognized the last jump, which the last time I was here looked massive! It was still big but no where near as big as I remembered!!
There's a few technical sections - but not enough as thats what I love!! Training for me went really well, I was feeling good, and I didn't have any crashes, I was really liking the track.
I won the Junior Girls but I just missed out on the Womens overall by 1 second - so 2nd Elite women- gutted really as i wanted to go below 5 minutes and I really could have gone loads faster.
Thanks to everyone! There is a break now, then onto EuroBike and then the last round of the iXS Cup in Chatel!
See you soon..."
