Currently, Laura Sanders is the Vice President, Global Sales Director for Five Ten a California-based company that makes a variety of action outdoor action sport shoes with their proprietary Stealth® rubber. These shoes are now favorite footwear of downhill mountain bikers, paddlers, hikers, trail runners and climbers. From elite, world class athletes to every day outdoor enthusiasts who depend on the technological advances of Five Ten and Stealth® Rubber. Laura Sanders was past president and owner of Sky’s the Limit, Nevadas’ original Climbing School and Guide Service. They were the first guide service accredited by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) in Nevada, a group charged with establishing standards of competence for climbing guides in the United States. Sanders served on the original non-profit board of the Nevada Trails Coalition and worked diligently with the BLM on the RRNCA General Management Plan. Working with Sky’s the Limit for over a decade has given her climbing experience that has taken her all over North America, as well as Europe. She has worked with and was seen frequently on the Outdoor Life network, BBC and PBS outdoor educational programs that introduce wilderness ethics and land stewardship.
Sanders developed a specialized database for the purpose of organizing and tracking a professional artist’s life’s work as well as organizing files for art collectors for insurance purposes. Work with artists in the ongoing verification and maintenance of the art databases and archival of art. Assisted in transliteration and editing of Hebrew text for a coffee table style art book, which explains the artist’s process in the creation of the Isaiah Stained-Glass Windows that were commissioned for the sanctuary of Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas, Nevada.
