El Capitan is my favorite cliff because of the many routes, height, and accessibility. I’ve climbed El Cap 68 times by 53 different routes and hold 23 speed records on it, including 11 first one day ascents. Like most Yosemite climbers I also dabble in slacklining and highlining and have pioneered a handful of highlines over the years.I also BASE jump and fly a wingsuit. Mr. Tague was raised in the grass roots climbing community of Bend,OR. His up bringing was that of "put up or shut up".Which was helped forged  by his mentors Brooke Sandahl,Jason Karn and Larry Brumwell. As a teenager Aaron opted out of high school dances and pep rallies. Instead choosing to spend his time training and traveling the world climbing. Today, Aaron resides in sunny Los Angeles, where he continues to peruse his love of climbing and adventure.

I've been climbing since I was about 7. I have had a number of different motivations within my climbing since starting, ranging from competitions to climbing the hardest offwidths in the world. I enjoy finding, working towards and then climbing new routes and have found that when climbing first ascents, this is when I've been most satisfied . Although I enjoy all aspects of climbing, i would have to say that i am most passionate about trad climbing.

Well, not really....I guess I just have strong(ish) fingers and I don’t weigh much so I’ve been able to pull my scrawny ass up more than a couple hard routes and boulder problems.   Favorite Climbing Shoe: Dragon – no contest. Best fitting, highest-performance shoe ever built. They excel at all styles of climbing and on any kind of rock, and once you figure out how to really exploit their ridiculously sticky HF rubber, it’s like cheating.
