When I started climbing in 1997, climbing wasn’t the popular sport that it is today. We just started out on a small 3.5 m wall in the club house of the DAV (Alpin Club). During that time I went skating and mountain biking a lot, but very soon discovered that rock climbing was what I enjoyed the most. My brother Markus started climbing too and we spent all our free time on the rocks in Luxembourg, southern France, Slovenia, Spain, Italy and of course Germany. Years later and the sport is still exciting as ever. I love bouldering and rock climbing on small rocks in the wood, psicobloc above the sea and adventure climbing in big walls. Climbing is also a great way to spend time in nature and to see beautiful places. So it’s important for me that the places are clean and the routes natural. During my climbing trips I especially like to repeat lines with little repetitions and to free old projects.
