I began climbing in 2005 and had no idea at the time how important it would be in my life. Though I have played other sports, climbing is the only one that is both challenging and fun at the same time. As time passed, I began to train harder and realized that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. With this attitude, I began climbing competitively for the first time in 2011. My first season only increased my confidence and love for the sport, as I made it to the Midwest Divisional and Nationals, and even won a Five Ten CORE Award. All I do is climb in the summer, and if I have time I go for bike rides around the city.
