I was born in Atlanta, GA and discovered the sport of climbing when I signed up for a one week day camp at a local gym the summer following 6th grade. Soon after a summer camp, I joined a climbing team and knew immediately that I had stumbled upon my passion. I immersed myself in the sport, began competing through USA Climbing, and quickly fell in love with Speed Climbing. I currently hold the women's national record for the IFSC Speed Climbing 10 meter route (6.51 seconds) and won the Youth National Speed Climbing Championships, in my category, in 2012. I was thrilled to place 5th in speed climbing at Worlds in August, 2012! My involvement and commitment to this sport have allowed me to travel all over the globe with some of my best friends, competing and training in beautiful countries such as Austria, Switzerland, and Singapore. I enjoy training with my team in Atlanta regularly and look forward to training with the National team each summer.Recently, I have begun to appreciate the sport of lead climbing as well, and am excited to begin a new chapter of outdoor training methods. Rock climbing has served as a means of expressing myself and a way to enjoy life, stay fit, and challenge myself both mentally and physically.
