I’m from Sacramento, California and have lived here all of my life. I am mostly a rock climber but I also like to go mountain biking if I get the opportunity. I like to edit video, pictures, and hang out with my friends during my free time. I love to boulder, but ropes are fun too. I love taking trips to Bishop, Tahoe, and other outdoor climbing places. I climb competitively and like how you have to stay composed for the whole comp. I like how exciting and rewarding it is to climb. It is very fun and takes focus and strength to climb hard. I climb on the Zero Gravity Youth Climbing Team. My teammates help push me to be my best and support me through all of the comps just like I do for them. You have to stay positive when climbing because it helps you send harder routes and problems. Breaking down and stressing out only gets in your way, so it is important to keep a good mindset while climbing, whether it is outdoors, during training, or at a comp. Traveling to different climbing areas and finding problems with moves that you like is the best part of climbing because then you want to keep working them until you succeed. There are lots of skills to be learned from each of your projects. All of the skills that you learn will teach you new things that will help you later on when you are climbing. It is cool seeing all of the different places and how they compare to California. Representing the United States at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile was one of my favorite climbing trips. Climbing is awesome and presents amazing opportunities.
