I grew up in Rochester, NY, and though I am a lifelong athlete (I was a competitive gymnast and diver growing up), I didn’t discover climbing until I was about 24 years old and lived in Ft. Collins, CO where I had attended college, though an instant obsession began. In the last 12 years, I have enjoyed all aspects of the sport, dabbling a little in trad (terrifying!), mountaineering (terrifying!), sport climbing, and now mostly bouldering. In 2004 and 2005, my husband and I spent over a year on the road and climbed full time around North America before settling into life in Salt Lake City. Since moving to Utah in the fall of 2005, I have been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time at my local crags and have nabbed some pretty cool first, second, and rare female ascents here.
