I was born in Bedford, NH, but only lived there for the first 6 months of my life before moving to Los Gatos, CA. My parents are mostly Swiss though. I’m 5‘ish feet tall and I’m a rock climber although i do love to go mountain biking from time to time. I was kind of born into climbing since my whole family had been climbing for years before I was even born, and I’ve been climbing seriously since I’m 6 years old. I like the atmosphere and community in climbing where you can just hang out, watch, encourage, and share beta with friends and other climbers. I also enjoy competing. I like the excitement, pressure and focus needed during competitions. I climb with friends at the gym which really motivates me to climb and train hard. I believe that the only way I will ever succeed is if I set tough goals, train hard, and most importantly believe in myself. In climbing a good mindset is crucial wether to overcome my fears, or just staying positive, focused, and believing that I can do it. Freaking out or having a tantrum never solves anything, although I unfortunately still do both from time to time... I like climbing hard, and pushing myself to send harder problems, but it’s not all about grades it’s also about being outdoors, the rock, and the movements and techniques involved. I love traveling to different places, finding a really cool new project with really awesome movements and get really psyched to go back out there and try and try as hard as possible until I send it. My proudest achievement was to send my first V10 at 9 years old. The following year I sent twenty V8 to V11 boulder problems and my first 5.13a, and won two US National titles.
