When I was a grom, BMX was my passion. When I turned 16, I got caught up in cars. I went to a Tech school for auto body. After school, I worked in a body shop. My best friend lost his license and started mountain biking to get around. He was stoked on it, so I went for a ride with him. I loved it! So I bought a mountain bike. One day while still working at the body shop, I went for a bike ride during lunch and got a job at a bike shop. I didn't plan it; I just did it. When I got back I gave my two weeks!
Now I had a good bike and healthier job, I was tearing it up, and people noticed and suggested I race, so I did. In my first DS race, my Mom was their keeping track of the competition. She pointed out Aaron Chase. I eliminated Aaron in the finals for the win! Aaron Chase and I have been close friends ever since. Later on, we both turned Pro and raced down hill and dual slalom on the NORBA circuit. We would hit up every town between races to find jumps or street to ride. Aaron was filming everything we did. All this filming paid off and lead to starring in all five Chain reactions, and many others, like Kranked 7 where I have two segments, a big mountain shot in Switzerland and a DJ and Skate park section shot in Vermont.
I have competed and won around the world in all types of events, XC, DH, DS, 4X, Park, Dirt Jump, Slope style, trials, bunny hop, super D, raced World Cups, and even The Winter X games. I have also had my share of broken bones, and sprains. I was lucky in a way, and never lost a whole season because of one. Even when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, the doctors cut me open in December, I got out in January, and back on the bike doing flips by springtime!
