Sam Hayden

I live in a small town in the Green Mountains in central Vermont.  In the fall of 2009 I took a climbing clinic at Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center and fell in love with climbing! I went from never climbing to climbing non-stop.  The next spring, after training all winter I competed in the USA Climbing SCS series and also began climbing outside.  Over the course of the summer and fall, I got hooked on bouldering and have been doing it 4-5 days per week ever since.  I love to solve puzzles and be physically challenged; bouldering is the perfect match.  Climbing new lines is what I enjoy the most....finding new boulders...imagining the line...clean it...climb it.  Last summer and fall I put up over 70 new boulder problems.  As long as the movement is fun and the challenge is there, I'll climb it!  My favorite shoes are the Team 5.10!
