Jeff Provenzano is a pioneer in the extreme sport of swooping, a high-thrills, high-stakes type of skydiving that has evolved with the development of ultra-fast parachutes. "It's skydiving in your face," Jeff describes. "Swooping combines high-performance aerobatic maneuvers while diving toward the earth at maximum speed, ending with precision landings." Smiling, he continues, "It's like driving a Ferrari as a parachute." Not only was Jeff the 2007 Overall Tour Champion of the Pro Swooping Tour, but for four years running he has taken the crown at the U.S. Pond Swoop Nationals. But what "Jeffro" is best known for in the skydiving community isn't his ability to acquire accolades – it's his talent for freestyle canopy swooping and inventing never-before-seen aerobatics: like an incredible move known as "The Miracle Man" that's been equated to pioneering the backflip in freestyle motocross.
