The first time in a kayak...oh yeah I remember that...wow was I hooked. Something about it just grabbed my soul. Next thing I knew, I was driving out of British Columbia to Colorado to pick up friends then off to Mexico and Central America for the better part of 3 years to paddle unknown rivers. Well...that was the mid-90’s and since that time, kayaking has become a major part of my life and has taken into the most incredible places ever. Teaching others to kayak, paddling with friends, and guiding clients is the spice of life.

These days I’m more into expedition kayaking trying to get on as many multi-day runs as possible. There’s nothing like traveling downstream with an overnight kit going into the unknown.  Remember...it’s not what you’re paddling but who your paddling with!
