It all started with a blue Schwinn with a sparkle blue banana seat and my brother’s BMX bike. I rode all the time as a kid and living in British Columbia getting a Mountain Bike was not unusual, however when I moved to Tucson I got rid of the Mountain Bike and continued my Cross Country Running spree. It took 9 years to find Mountain Bikes again. My husband, Dante, took me on a ride that was probably the most scariest and fun ride that got me hooked on Mountain Bikes again. I rode all the time and am definitely a competitive person, which brought me into Cross Country racing for a year or two. I knew that there was more to Mountain Biking and the natural thing for me to do was progress into Downhill racing. I have been racing Downhill for 9 years and will continue to do so for as long as I can. I love the adrenaline rush and seek it out all the time.
